We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the operations of our Nursery. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for early childhood education, possess exceptional organizational and leadership skills, and have a proven track record in managing a successful daycare facility.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Staff Management: Provide effective leadership to a team of nursery staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes professional growth and teamwork.
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with educators to design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and encourages children's cognitive, emotional, and physical growth.
- Child Welfare and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care by adhering to all safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and promoting healthy practices.
- Parent Communication: Establish strong communication channels with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress, daily activities, and any important updates.
- Enrollment and Admissions: Manage the enrollment process, conduct tours for prospective parents, and oversee the admissions process to maintain full occupancy while upholding quality standards.
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage the nursery's budget, including tracking expenses, handling billing and payments, and optimizing resources for efficient operations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant local regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards. Keep up-to-date records and documentation as necessary.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the daycare center's operations, curriculum, and services. Implement changes to enhance the overall experience for children and families.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a nursery or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles, educational best practices, and health and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage staff, build positive relationships with families, and create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Proficiency in organizational and administrative tasks, including budget management.
- Familiarity with licensing and regulatory requirements for nurseries.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
