Friendly Early Childhood Center in Dubai is seeking a highly motivated and certified DHA Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with children. The ideal candidate must hold a DHA License or Eligibility Letter for Registered, General, or School Nurse.

The Head Nurse/Medical Director will be responsible for ensuring best practices in health, safety, and the overall well-being of children during all nursery activities - both indoors and outdoors. This includes supervising staff, maintaining professional standards, and preparing daily safety reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent (attested in home country and the UAE)
  • Valid DHA License (General Nurse / School Nurse)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children; school/nursery experience is an advantage
  • Paediatric First Aid / Basic Life Support certification
  • Strong knowledge of childhood illnesses and injuries
  • Clear and articulate communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Warm, kind, and compassionate personality
  • Confident and competent leadership skills

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain school health records, including accident and incident reports
  • Conduct daily risk assessments and safety checks around the nursery
  • Stay updated with DHA regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Administer First Aid and support infection control practices
  • Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and children
  • Conduct physical examinations and hygiene checks; record height, weight, and vital signs monthly
  • Oversee health, safety, and hygiene procedures; ensure clinic readiness for DHA and government inspections
  • Perform daily classroom rounds and temperature checks
  • Follow up on any medical concerns raised by staff and communicate with parents as needed
  • Administer prescribed medications (excluding first doses)
  • Ensure compliance with DHA rules and regulations
  • Lead, guide, and mentor support staff; coordinate with management and teaching teams
  • Deliver staff training on allergies and other medical conditions
  • Maintain infection control practices daily
  • Oversee the health & safety folder and ensure records are up to date
  • Restock medical supplies and maintain a clean, organized clinic
  • Update medical licenses and malpractice coverage in line with DHA requirements
  • Update COSHH and safety data sheets, ensuring all products comply with Dubai Municipality standards
