Nursery Nurse level 2 or 3 in early childhood studies

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse at Level 2 or 3 in Early Childhood Studies to join our early years team. Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's developmental needs
  • Supervise children during play, learning, mealtimes, and outdoor activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
  • Support the implementation of the early childhood curriculum in line with statutory requirements
  • Assist in organising nursery routines and activities to promote a stimulating learning environment
  • Contribute to the overall organisation of the nursery, including maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities

Skills

  • Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong management and organisational skills to oversee daily operations effectively
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to guide and support junior staff or students
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
  • Good driving skills are desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
  • A caring attitude combined with professionalism and patience in handling young children
