Essmann, a leading specialist in custom cabinetry, millwork, and high-quality wood components, is seeking a dedicated and professional Nursing Assistant to join our team. Based at our facility in Maryland City, Maryland, this Full-Time position is a unique opportunity to provide vital on-site health and wellness support to our skilled team of craftspeople and professionals. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate healthcare provider responsible for administering first aid, promoting a safe work environment, and supporting the overall well-being of our employees. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to health and safety within our dynamic manufacturing setting.
Salary: $45 - $55 per hour
Responsibilities
* Provide immediate first aid and initial assessment for workplace injuries and illnesses in a timely and professional manner.
* Assist in the development and implementation of workplace wellness programmes and health promotion initiatives.
* Maintain accurate, confidential, and detailed medical records and incident reports for all employees.
* Monitor, order, and maintain all first aid and medical supplies for the on-site clinic.
* Support the company's health and safety protocols by assisting with health screenings and risk assessments.
* Liaise with occupational health professionals and emergency services when required.
* Educate employees on best practices for workplace safety, injury prevention, and personal health.
* Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs and documenting employee health concerns.
Qualifications
* A recognised certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent qualification is essential.
* Current certification in First Aid and CPR/BLS is required.
* Proven experience working in a healthcare role, with experience in an occupational or industrial health setting being highly desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and compassionately with all employees.
* A strong understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection principles.
* Must be organised, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
