What This Role Really Is
This role is equal parts
clinical oversight, team leadership, and relationship management.
You’ll lead the care team, ensure strong clinical practices, and partner closely with families and physicians—while creating an environment where residents feel safe, understood, and respected.
This is not a task-based nursing role. It’s a leadership role that requires judgment, presence, and strong communication.
Who Is Successful Here
Typically, the nurses who do well in this role:

Are licensed Nurse (LPN or RN) who are confident in their clinical decision-making

Have experience in senior living, memory care, or long-term care
-
Can lead and hold a team accountable, while still being approachable and supportive

Are comfortable having real conversations with families and physicians, especially during changes in condition
-
Understand that documentation, communication, and follow-through are critical to quality care
-
Can balance empathy with structure—doing what’s right for the resident while protecting the team and community
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the resident care team, including hiring, training, and performance management
-
Complete initial and ongoing resident assessments and maintain care plans
-
Oversee medication systems and ensure accuracy and compliance
-
Communicate changes in condition with families, physicians, and leadership
-
Provide coaching, training, and accountability to care staff across all shifts
-
Ensure proper documentation, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance
-
Support a culture that aligns with Anthem’s mission and values
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

Current, active Nursing license RN or LPN (required – applications without this will not be considered)

Minimum 3 years of experience in senior living or related setting
-
Prior leadership or supervisory experience

CPR/First Aid certification
