1. Responsible for maintaining highest standards of nursing care for the patients in the respective wards.

2. Supervising the management of patients in the respective wards by proper admission, discharge, planning Nursing care plan properly.

3. Shall ensure proper handover of and takeover charge at each change of shift.

4. Delegating & assigning the duties in the respective department to staff nurses and other staffs.

5. Take regular rounds of their respective department and monitor the nursing care extended to the patients.

6. Supervise and ensure that the procedures (x-ray, physiotherapy, diets etc.) are carried out as ordered by the concerned doctor.

7. Responsible for accompanying the consultant for the daily rounds or assigning relevant nurse with consultants and keep the physician informed of any adverse reactions to prescribed treatment or any problem which may necessitate medical intervention.

8. Evaluate the effectiveness of patients care and provides improvement by research based nurse practice and participates in the Nursing Quality Assurance program.

9. Accompany the Matron/Nursing In-charge/ Consultant/ RMO and any visiting official on their rounds to their respective department.

10. Deals appropriately with any adverse situation that has occurred in the ward and reports to the concerned authority.

11. Ensures standard of care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.

12. Maintain the “ward admission and discharge register” and ensure accurate documentation adhering to the SOPs in the event of discharge, transfer or death case.

13. Responsible for facilitating transfer of patient from one ward to another in coordination with the Medical officer and IPR counter.

14. Accountable for maintenance of emergency & dangerous drugs including costly drugs under safe custody in their respective wards and carrying out the physical checks of the same.

15. Responsible for monitoring biomedical waste management for their respective wards as per infection control protocol.

16. Supervise the departmental documentation procedure & ensure its accuracy.

17. Responsible for inventory management of the respective wards & maintaining stock registers of the ward equipment and drugs.

18. Ensure that the materials/ equipment used are entered in the stock register and billed accordingly

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
