Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nursing Lecturer role based in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The Nursing Lecturer will deliver lectures, tutorials, and skills lab sessions for undergraduate and diploma-level nursing students, ensuring alignment with institutional and regulatory standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing teaching materials, assessing student performance through assignments, quizzes, and examinations, and providing academic advising and mentoring. The role also involves supervising clinical placements, coordinating with clinical sites, and ensuring that students apply evidence-based nursing practices in patient care settings. The Nursing Lecturer will participate in curriculum review, contribute to quality assurance activities, engage in professional development, and collaborate with colleagues on academic and institutional initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in professional practice, including Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to integrate theory and clinical application.
  • Expertise in Nursing Education and Curriculum Development, including lesson planning, learning outcomes design, and assessment strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience in acute and specialized settings, such as Critical Care Medicine, with emphasis on evidence-based practice and patient safety.
  • Recognized nursing qualification (e.g., BSN or equivalent) from an accredited institution; a master’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Education is highly preferred.
  • Valid professional nursing registration/license (where applicable) and relevant clinical experience prior to or alongside teaching.
  • Demonstrated teaching, facilitation, and communication skills, including the ability to engage diverse learners and use modern teaching technologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an academic team, contribute to academic governance, and support institutional quality improvement initiatives.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, student mentorship, continuous professional development, and willingness to reside and work on-site in Gilgit-Baltistan.
