Reporting To: Director Medical Services

Job Purpose

The Manager Nursing will oversee and manage clinical nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care, operational efficiency, and compliance with hospital policies. This role requires strong leadership, clinical expertise, and hands-on management of nursing operations in a 24/7 hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Nursing Management

• Analyze, upgrade, and implement effective nursing management systems
• Ensure compliance with hospital standards and clinical protocols

Policy & Coordination

• Participate in scheduled meetings and coordinate with clinical leadership

Training & Development

• Establish and manage training and development programs for nursing staff

Shift & Workforce Management

• Manage 24-hour shift scheduling, rotations, and workload balance
• Ensure proper staff relief and coverage

Staff Supervision & Discipline

• Supervise nursing staff conduct, discipline, appearance, and performance
• Guide and support nurses in daily clinical responsibilities

Patient Care Environment

• Promote a professional, patient-centered care environment

Recruitment Support

• Participate as an interview panel member for hiring nursing staff

Hostel Management

• Oversee Nursing Hostel operations and compliance with institutional standards

Reporting & Administration

• Report daily nursing and hospital activities to DMS
• Verify confirmation lists with CNS and submit records to HR for payroll processing

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• BS Nursing (BSN)
• MSN / MHA or related healthcare qualification (preferred)

Experience

• 10–14 years total nursing experience
• 5–7 years clinical nursing
• 3–5 years in nursing supervision or leadership
