The Nursing Staff is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with medical protocols, hospital policies, and ethical standards. The role involves assisting doctors, ensuring patient comfort, administering medications, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Support
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition.
- Assist doctors during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Provide physical and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Ensure patient hygiene, comfort, and safety at all times.
- Medication & Treatment
- Administer prescribed medicines and injections accurately and on time.
- Maintain records of medications given and report adverse reactions.
- Operate medical equipment and ensure proper usage and maintenance.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain patient files, case sheets, and nursing notes.
- Record daily observations and report significant changes to doctors.
- Ensure compliance with hospital documentation standards.
- Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with doctors, other nursing staff, and support staff.
- Provide clear handover reports during shift changes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and attendants.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow hospital policies, infection control measures, and safety protocols.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist in emergency situations and follow proper escalation procedures.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing (as per role requirement).
- Registration: Must be registered with the State Nursing Council.
- Experience: 2 to 5 Years Experience.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical and patient care skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge for record-keeping.
Work Conditions
- Shifts: Rotational (morning, evening, night).
- Environment: Hospital/clinical setup.
- Additional Duties: May be assigned as per hospital requirements.
