Key Responsibilities1. Administrative Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise nursing services across all clinical departments (OPD, IPD, ICU, OT, Emergency, Specialty Units, etc.).
  • Develop duty rosters and allocate nursing staff according to workload and patient needs.
  • Maintain adequate staffing levels and oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of nurses.
  • Ensure compliance with NABH/NABL/JCI and state healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in hospital committees such as Infection Control, Quality Assurance, and Patient Safety.

2. Clinical Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain standards of nursing care and ensure adherence to protocols, SOPs, and ethical practices.
  • Supervise critically ill patient care in ICUs, Emergency, and Post-Operative Wards.
  • Ensure safe administration of medications and adherence to patient safety norms.
  • Coordinate with doctors, paramedics, and support staff for seamless patient care.

3. Quality & Compliance

  • Implement infection control measures and ensure compliance with biomedical waste management rules (as per Tamil Nadu PCB guidelines).
  • Maintain documentation, audits, and reports for quality assurance.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment, instruments, and supplies in nursing areas.

4. Staff Development & Training

  • Organize induction programs, in-service training, and continuous nursing education (CNE).
  • Mentor and motivate nursing staff for professional growth.
  • Conduct regular skill assessments and workshops for updating clinical competencies.

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a bridge between hospital management and nursing staff.
  • Handle patient complaints related to nursing services and implement corrective measures.
  • Participate in management meetings and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications & Experience

  • M.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. Nursing with additional hospital management qualifications preferred.
  • Registered Nurse (RN/RM) with Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in nursing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory/leadership role in a multi-speciality hospital.

  • Knowledge of hospital accreditation standards (NABH/JCI).
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
