About Us: We are a warm, health-conscious family welcoming our 6-month-old into a calm, loving home in downtown Minneapolis. One parent works remotely and the other has an irregular schedule, so our nannie will often share the space with a parent nearby, though we have a dedicated office area to keep work and childcare separate. We are structured and intentional by nature, we like to plan ahead and keep routines consistent, but we also deeply value open communication, creative thinking, and a nannie who feels comfortable bringing her own ideas to the table. We are outdoor-loving and active as a family, and we look forward to incorporating that into our little one's world as he grows. We also share our home with a cat, so comfort around animals is a must. We are a health and COVID-conscious household and tend to mask in indoor public spaces. While this is not a requirement, we would love to find someone who shares a similar mindset.

What We’re Looking For: We are seeking an experienced infant specialist who is warm, reliable, and deeply attuned to the needs of a very young baby. You are calm and patient by nature, communicative and collaborative with parents, and confident enough to take initiative while respecting the routines and preferences this family has established. You bring your own ideas and creativity to the role, but you check in rather than freelance. You understand that trust is built over time and you are comfortable with a gradual approach to outings and independence as the baby grows. This is a professional, boundary relationship built on mutual respect and open, direct communication.

Requirements:

  • Professional Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional childcare experience with a strong focus on infant care
  • Education: Candidates with a degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field are encouraged to apply and will be considered for the higher end of the pay range
  • Philosophy Alignment: Commitment to play-based, positive reinforcement approaches with zero tolerance for physical discipline
  • Language: French or Spanish speaking candidates are STRONGLY preferred. While not a requirement, this family would love a nannie who is comfortable speaking exclusively in French or Spanish with the baby during the day as a full immersion experience. If this is you, please highlight it in your application.
  • Pets: Must be comfortable around cats and have no cat allergies
  • WFH Comfort: Must be comfortable and professional working in a home where parents are present during the day
  • Safety: CPR and First Aid Certification, pediatric required (proof required)
  • Health & Wellness: fully vaccinated required by family
  • Privacy: Strict no posting children on social media policy
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle
  • References: Ability to provide 3–5 professional references
  • Commitment: Minimum one year commitment with option to extend, they would love to find someone long term (minimum 3 years) with the understanding that the family plans to relocate to the Lynnhurst/Linden Hills/Fulton area of Minneapolis within the next year or two.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legal to work in the U.S. (paid via w-2)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Paid time off
  • Parental leave
  • Professional development assistance
