Summary

The position of Program Assistant/Nutrition Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the center, assisting all Senior Center Staff to deliver effective, efficient, and quality Services. This position coordinates the congregate lunch program and ensures compliance with all related regulations.

Assignments

Essential Job Duties

• Manage the day-to-day operation in all nutrition areas, ensuring the compliance with proper sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Assist with Arbor cafe inventory
• Ensures compliance with all Allegheny County Health Department and Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging requirements for nutrition services.
• Manages volunteers for Arbor Caf? and lunch service.
• Assists with planning and implementing Senior Center events and recreational activities.
• Manage daily data input into CoPilot Database
• Provides receptionist coverage and other coverage as needed/assigned.

General Assignments

• Model the organization's mission and values.
• Record time and attendance via Human Resources Information Systems and Timekeeping system as applicable.
• Attend meetings/training as requested/required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, computer/laptop, tablet and cell phone required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, preferred.
• Must be able to relate to seniors.
• Strong computer skills along with effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Support the organization's mission along with sensitivity of cultural and workplace harmony.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Successfully pass Allegheny County food certification course.

Working Conditions

This position is based at the Vintage location. At times it may be necessary to travel to other Familylinks locations for training and meetings.
