NWS SMC Brand Ambassador
This position is only open to current Pacific University Students.
Student Engagement and Inclusion: Student Multicultural Center (AuCoin 121), Full Academic Year Appointment
The Student Multicultural Center is an integral part of Pacific University that honors and celebrates our diverse community, representing students of all identities, cultures, and abilities. We work to support our students in their educational journey by providing opportunities to build a strong sense of community and providing connections to resources that help everyone thrive. We believe in building a socially just and inclusive campus where students are inspired and empowered to engage purposefully in their communities.
As a Student Multicultural Center Brand Ambassador, you will create collaborative opportunities for the campus community to design creative art projects that will reflect Pacific’s diverse community and cultivate a shared identity for the Center. You will also be responsible for designing promotional materials for the Center when needed.
Responsibilities
- Organize and lead the design for the following projects:
- Student Multicultural Center Welcome Sign
- Student Multicultural Center Mural
- Design and distribute promotional materials for SMC events, programs, and outreach efforts
- Assist in the implementation of events hosted through the SMC, when needed
- Promote services and resources available through the SMC
- Develop collaborative relationships with the Undergraduate Student Senate (USS), clubs and organizations, additional student leaders, and campus partners
- Complete daily office hours log and program evaluations for projects
Requirements
Requirements
- Be registered for academic year
- Be in good disciplinary and academic standing (cumulative GPA of at least 2.0)
- Maintain a minimum of four (4) office hours weekly
- Attend all required meetings
- Bi-weekly check-ins with advisor
- Weekly leadership team meetings
- Additional meetings relevant to position, when possible
- Attend and support additional Student Engagement and Inclusion events and activities, as able
- Attend all retreats and trainings
- Practice effective communication with advisor relating to job duties and academic progress
Salary: $16.30 per hour
