NYS Inspector's Licensed Automotive Technician - Clay, NY

Davidson Ford of Clay has immediate openings for a mechanic with their NYS Inspector's License to join our busy service department! This position will join a team of technicians who perform basic maintenance and NYS Inspections for both customer and company vehicles!

Pay Range: $19/hr - $24/hr

Hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Tuesday - Saturday shifts also available!

Responsibilities:

• Check the air pressure of tires, add water to the radiator as needed, test the battery, and replace oil and air filters.
• Perform accurate and honest NYS Inspections.
• Perform routine oil changes.
• Complete multi-point inspection.
• Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keeps the advisor aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Occasionally assist with our pick up and delivery service.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills:

• 1 year experience or education in the Automotive field.
• Must have a valid NYS Inspection License.
• Must have your own tools.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience at any chain Automotive repair shops is a plus.
• Possess a high level of motivation and energy.
• ASE certifications.
