Oakville 2026/2027 21st CCLC Paraprofessional

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Paraprofessional at Oakville Middle/High School for the 2026/2027 academic year. This temporary position (one year dependent on funding) is designed to assist in providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students and after-school programs.. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers and staff to enhance educational opportunities for students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of 21st CCLC programs and activities that promote academic enrichment and personal growth for students.
• Collaborate with teachers to identify student needs and provide targeted support in academic subjects, including tutoring and homework assistance.
• Facilitate engaging after-school programs, including enrichment activities, STEM initiatives, arts, and recreational programs that foster student interest and participation.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students, promoting respect and collaboration among peers.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and program activities.
• Assist in the development and organization of program materials and resources.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the 21st CCLC program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred.
• Previous experience working with students in an educational or community setting, preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and staff effectively.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and program requirements.
• Proficient in using technology and educational software to support student learning.
• Must pass background checks and comply with all school district policies and procedures.
