OB Nurse Practitioner (CA Licensed) – Phone-Only Telehealth

About the Role

Alina Telehealth is seeking California-licensed Nurse Practitioners with strong OB experience to support our phone-based prenatal follow-up program.

This fully remote position follows a structured workflow focused on routine prenatal follow-up calls. You will review provider-prepared summaries, communicate results to patients, and escalate complex concerns to the supervising OB provider.

This is a phone-only role. No video visits, no in-person responsibilities, and no after-hours requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine prenatal follow-up calls by phone
• Review and communicate provider-prepared summaries related to:
• Lab results
• Prenatal screenings
• Glucose testing
• Ultrasound findings
• Basic bloodwork
• Fetal sex results
• Routine OB findings
• Implement provider-directed medication adjustments
• Address straightforward patient questions
• Escalate complex concerns to supervising OB provider
• Complete same-day documentation in Practice Fusion
• Maintain a call volume of approximately 25–30 calls per day

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Fixed 8-hour shifts
• PST time zone
• No weekends
• No on-call requirements

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license
• Strong OB/GYN background or significant prenatal experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate provider summaries clearly
• Comfortable conducting routine prenatal follow-up discussions
• Ability to maintain high call volume with accurate documentation
• Experience with telehealth preferred

Technology

• EMR: Practice Fusion (training provided)
• HIPAA-compliant VOIP system required (e.g., Broadvoice, Doximity, or approved equivalent)
• Direct communication channel with supervising OB provider for escalations
