OB/GYN Physician

Position Overview

Socorro General Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician for a contract assignment. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional patient care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services in a community-hospital setting.

Schedule & Coverage

• Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call Requirements:
• On-call during clinic days (5 PM–8 AM)
• Weekend call: Friday 5 PM – Monday 8 AM
• EMR: EPIC

Requirements Must Have:

• Board Certification or active participation toward ABOG certification
• OB/GYN residency trained
• Ability to obtain NM medical license
• Recent experience and case logs reflecting:
• 50 vaginal deliveries in the last 12 months
• 20 C-sections in the last 12 months
• 25 gynecological procedures, including 5 major abdominal cases

Required Clinical Skills:

Labor & Delivery:

• Routine & complicated deliveries
• C-sections, breech, multiple births, abruption management
• FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• OB ultrasounds (Level I & II)
• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology:

• D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension
• A/P repairs, infertility procedures, tumor resection
• Laparoscopy (diagnostic/minor/major)
• Management of ectopic pregnancy, cystectomy, LOA procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $170.00 - $220.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
