Physiatrist (PM&R) Outpatient Opportunity

General Summary:

Bronson Neuroscience Center is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physiatrist to join our growing outpatient physiatry program. This position focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal and neurologic conditions in an ambulatory setting, supporting our Battle Creek location. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in developing long-term relationships with patients and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to help individuals regain function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. If desired, ability to pursue clinical research at Bronson as well as teaching and academic affiliation at Western Michigan University School of Medicine. Opportunity for leadership position over our Neurodiagnostics/EMG Lab.

Scope of Practice:

  • Outpatient evaluation and management of musculoskeletal and neurologic disorders
  • Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies
  • Therapeutic and diagnostic injections
  • Botox and other spasticity management procedures
  • Collaborative care with physical therapy, occupational therapy, pain management, neurology, and surgical teams

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree with completion of an accredited PM&R residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Eligible for medical, DEA and CDS licenses in the state of Michigan
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
