Schedule: M/W/F 6:30am–3:00pm, T/Th 8:00am–4:30pm (40 hrs/week)

Position Overview

WCMS is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse III (Registered Nurse) to provide autonomous, comprehensive occupational health services at a client’s East Peoria facility. This full-time role supports both clinical and administrative functions, delivers first-line injury/illness triage, conducts surveillance and compliance exams, supports emergency response, and collaborates with onsite leadership to promote a safe and healthy workplace.

This position is benefits eligible, offers consistent weekday scheduling, and provides an opportunity to work independently while still engaging with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive occupational nursing services for employee illness, injury, and return-to-work needs
  • Function independently while seeking consultative support when appropriate
  • Participate in or lead onsite medical emergency response
  • Serve as the liaison with external occupational health providers
  • Maintain clinic operations, documentation, metrics, and medical record systems
  • Conduct post-offer screenings, surveillance exams, wellness checks, and fit-for-duty evaluations
  • Support disability case management and injury-related investigations
  • Assist with OSHA-mandated requirements and broader regulatory compliance
  • Provide wellness education, monthly health initiatives, and onsite health promotion
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform drug/alcohol testing consistent with DOT and company standards
  • Collaborate with site HR, leadership, and safety teams

Qualifications – Required

  • Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 3–5 years Emergency Department or clinic-based nursing experience
  • CPR certification
  • Strong triage and critical-thinking abilities in an autonomous setting
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
  • Occupational health nursing experience
  • Familiarity with OSHA, ADA, ergonomics, EH&S programs, and workplace safety
  • Relevant occupational health certifications

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $55 per hour
