Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Conduct eligibility recommendation for students in school as needed.

· Conduct comprehensive assessments: Administer standardized and / or creation referenced tools to better understand strengths and weaknesses of clients in the areas of physical mental, and social capabilities and determine their needs.

· Develop individualized treatment plans: Based on assessment result, create personalized therapy plans tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.

· Helps patient to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills.

· Aids patients in improving their basic motor functions and reasoning abilities.

· Assists patients in performing all types of activities, ranging from using a computer to caring for daily needs, such as dressing, cooking and eating.

· Incorporates physical exercises to increase patients’ strength and dexterity.

· To select appropriate treatment techniques, this may include improving independence in ADLs, provide the necessary assistive devices, conducting seating assessments etc.

· To safely use the splinting techniques in accordance with the PIMC guidelines formulated.

· To conduct a seating assessment to provide a suitable seating system for patients.

· Write thorough reports, intervention plans and progress summaries.

· Implement therapeutic interventions: Utilize evidence-based techniques and therapies to improve patient’s ADL.

· Provide culturally and linguistically appropriate occupation therapy sessions: conduct one-on-one or group therapy sessions with clients. Sessions can be based in the clinic or at the school / nursery.

· Participate actively in medical department meetings to discuss the cases and align the treatment plan with the team.

· Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams: work closely with physicians, educators, psychologists, Speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

· Monitor, progress and adjust treatment: regularly assess clients progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

· To review and evaluate patient’s condition at each session and amend the treatment program as necessary to achieve planned objectives.

· Educate patients and families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to support and carry over therapy goals at home and in other environments.

· Conduct training workshop for teachers and shadow teacher for best practice in handling the education difficulties of the patient.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED12,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
