Ahava Therapy Services is hiring a Full-Time OT at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson, TN, which has 156 beds that offer short-term rehab, long-term care, and outpatient therapy services. Join a supportive in-house rehab team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes and meaningful collaboration.
Located along the Music Highway halfway between Memphis and Nashville, Jackson is where the sounds of country and blues collide — home of Rockabilly King Carl Perkins and the start of the Rockabilly Highway. Jackson, Tennessee, is in Madison County. It is a mid-sized city that has roots in railroads and industry, and today it blends that heritage with a growing arts and music scene. It is a comfortable, family-friendly city that offers a balance of small-town charm and modern conveniences.
Review clinical information and evaluate its impact on the assessment and treatment process.
Conduct comprehensive functional assessments using standardized procedures.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with achievable functional goals.
Document evaluations, daily treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and promptly.
Revise treatment plans based on patient performance and progress.
Supervise and guide therapy assistants, ensuring proper treatment techniques and the delivery of care.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers about exercises and therapeutic procedures to support carryover.
Collaborate with nursing staff, interdisciplinary team members, and families to maximize functional outcomes.
Assist with discharge planning and maintain knowledge of community resources.
Participate in care conferences, meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain clinical competence through continuing education opportunities.
Adhere to all regulatory, professional, and facility standards, including HIPAA and payer guidelines.
Support the company’s mission, vision, and professional expectations.
Maintain expected productivity levels and demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
Active OT license in the state of practice
BLS/CPR certification (current or obtained during orientation)
Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
