About the Facility

Ahava Therapy Services is seeking a Full-Time OTA to join our in-house rehab team at Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 136-bed skilled nursing facility providing short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and outpatient services.

  • Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents according to the occupational therapist's treatment plans

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures

  • Observe, record, and report conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties

  • Maintain daily treatment records and document progress notes as directed

  • Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

  • Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment

  • Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned

  • Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to the discipline and responsibilities

  • Act in compliance with Ahava Therapy Services’ regulatory and professional standards

  • Attend and participate in rehabilitation team conferences and other facility meetings

  • Adhere to company and facility policies and participate in quality improvement and safety programs

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources efficiently

  • Demonstrate knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party reimbursement guidelines

  • Support the company’s mission and vision and project a professional image

  • Independently perform duties and recognize situations where direct supervision is needed

  • Maintain expected productivity levels

✔️ Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program

  • Active OTA license or eligibility under state statutes for practice

  • Current BLS/CPR certification

  • Strong observational, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
