Occupational Therapy OTR/L - Clinical Lead

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Part-Time Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to step into the role of Occupational Therapy Lead, guiding our OT team to deliver exceptional patient care across diverse settings. As an OT Lead, you will leverage your expertise in occupational therapy to develop and oversee personalized care plans, coordinate discharge processes, participate in non-clinical tasks such as mentorship and billing and ensure the highest standards of therapy services. Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor occupational therapy staff across multiple settings, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), discharge planning, and case management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physicians, nurses, and educators—to coordinate seamless patient care
  • Conduct assessments related to physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and functional abilities to inform treatment strategies
  • Work directly with patients to improve independence through therapeutic interventions focused on motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive techniques
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient caseloads across diverse environments such as home health visits, clinics, schools, and early intervention programs
  • Support patients with disabilities or developmental conditions like autism by designing targeted interventions that promote engagement and functional skills
  • Assist with non-clinic tasks: scheduling, billing, supervision, program development

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) with current certification in good standing
  • Proven experience working in a private practice or outpatient setting
  • Strong background in pediatrics—including early intervention and school-based therapy—as well as geriatrics and post-acute care environments
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with ADLs and develop effective discharge plans for diverse patient populations
  • Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to occupational therapy practice
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities; familiarity with speech therapy principles is a plus
  • Excellent case management skills with the ability to coordinate complex treatment plans across multiple disciplines
  • Skilled in patient care delivery within outpatient clinics or home health settings; previous clinic experience is advantageous
  • Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages and backgrounds while maintaining a positive and motivating approach
  • Experience in billing with appropriate CPT codes
  • Knowledge of theraputic scheudling for Occupational Therapy clients

Pay: $42.00 - $60.00 per hour
