Duties

- Evaluate potential investment opportunities through due diligence processes, including financial analysis, business model assessment, and management team evaluation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with startups, industry experts, and other venture capitalists to stay informed on industry developments.
- Negotiate investment terms and structure deals that align with strategic goals.
- Provide mentorship and strategic guidance to portfolio companies to support their growth and success.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop investment strategies that promote sustainable and impactful aquatic ventures.
- Monitor industry regulations, environmental standards, and technological advancements relevant to marine-related investments.
- Represent the venture fund at industry conferences, networking events, and pitch sessions to attract deal flow and partnership opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in venture capital, private equity, or related investment roles with a focus on technology or environmental sectors preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation methods, and deal structuring.
- Passion for marine life conservation, aquaculture innovation, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for negotiations, presentations, and relationship building.
- Ability to analyze complex business models and assess technological viability.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marine Biology, Environmental Science or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Demonstrated network within the startup ecosystem or marine industry is advantageous.
