Oconee Home Care Aide

Tasks and Responsibilities

In this role, you will support clients with daily routines and basic care needs. Your work will help improve comfort and independence for each person you assist. You will follow care plans and provide help with simple but important tasks. Each day may be different, and you will need to adapt to each client’s needs. You will also build trust with clients and their families through kind and respectful care.

• You assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• You support light housekeeping tasks to keep the home clean and safe.
• You prepare simple meals and help with feeding when needed.
• You remind clients to take medications as scheduled.
• You provide companionship and emotional support during visits.

Required Skills and Knowledge

To succeed in this role, you need both care skills and a kind attitude. You should feel comfortable working in clients’ homes and helping with personal care. Good communication skills are important for working with clients and families. You must also be reliable and able to follow simple instructions. This role requires patience, respect, and attention to detail.

• You have experience or knowledge in assisting with ADLs and personal care.
• You are able to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation tasks.
• You understand how to give medication reminders in a safe way.
• You have a valid driver’s license and can travel to client homes.
• You are willing to complete a background check, drug screening, and TB test.

Additional Information

This is a part-time position based in Seneca, SC. Candidates must pass a drug screening and background check. A valid driver’s license is required for this role.
