Odoo Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Odoo Developer with a deep understanding of Odoo’s ecosystem, particularly HR and Accounting modules , and experience adapting ERP systems to the workflow of Fit Out / Construction Project companies . The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Finance & Accounting (preferably certified), excels at customizing workflows, and can manage system deployments efficiently. This role requires both technical expertise and business acumen to ensure Odoo supports and accelerates company operations across all departments.

Responsibilities

Odoo ERP Development & Customization

• Design, develop, and customize Odoo modules to align with business needs, especially HR, Accounting, Projects, and Inventory.
• Implement and maintain workflows, approvals, and automation across departments.
• Oversee deployment, version control, and change management of Odoo customizations.

Business Process Alignment

• Analyze and map company workflows (construction/fit-out industry experience preferred) into Odoo ERP.
• Ensure accounting and financial processes are fully aligned with international standards and company practices.
• Provide innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accelerate business operations.

Integration & Support

• Develop and provide APIs for internal software teams and external integrations.
• Ensure data integrity between Odoo and other company systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Train all departments (HR, Finance, Projects, Procurement, etc.) on Odoo usage and best practices.
• Prepare documentation, manuals, and training material to ensure smooth adoption across the company.

Continuous Improvement

• Research and recommend new Odoo features, apps, or workflows to improve company processes.
• Actively contribute to ERP strategy and roadmap planning.
• Think creatively and proactively to provide business-focused solutions.

Functional and Knowledge Skills

●        Technical Skills :

○       Strong hands-on experience with Odoo development, customization, and deployment .

○       Very good understanding of all Odoo modules , with depth in HR and Accounting .

○       Expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, and Odoo framework.

○       Experience with API development and integrations .

●        Business & Industry Knowledge :

○       Deep understanding of Finance & Accounting principles (certification preferred).

○       Experience with Fit Out / Construction workflow (Projects, Procurement, BOQ, Costing, etc.).

○       Strong grasp of ERP-related compliance and reporting needs.

●        Soft Skills :

○       Strong communication and training ability across technical and non-technical teams.

○       Proactive problem solver with “think out of the box” mindset.

○       Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

○       The ability to deliver on a tight deadline.

Qualifications/Experience

• Finance/Accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent).
• Odoo Certification
• Hands-on experience leading ERP training sessions for multiple departments.
