Odoo Developer

We are seeking an experienced Odoo Developer with strong expertise in Python programming and Odoo custom module development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Odoo Accounting, including configuration, customization, workflow automation, and integration. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement, customize, and support Odoo ERP solutions that align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules using Python and XML.
• Design and implement custom Odoo modules based on functional requirements.
• Work extensively on Odoo Accounting module including journals, reconciliation, invoices, payments, GST/VAT configuration, financial reporting, and fiscal year setup.
• Customize workflows, access control (ACL), server actions, automated actions, and scheduled jobs.
• Integrate Odoo with external systems using REST APIs / XML-RPC / JSON-RPC.
• Analyze business requirements and provide functional and technical solutions.
• Perform Odoo migration between versions, including database and module upgrades.
• Debug, test, and optimize existing modules for stability and performance.
• Work closely with functional consultants to provide deployment and technical support.
• Prepare documentation (technical specifications, deployment steps, release notes).

Required Skills & Experience

• 1 – 2 years of experience in Odoo development.
• Strong knowledge of Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript (optional), and QWeb reports.
• Proven experience in custom module development and 3rd-party app integration.
• Advanced understanding of Odoo Accounting workflows.
• Familiarity with Odoo framework (ORM, models, views, controllers).
• Proficient in Odoo.sh / On-Premise / Community / Enterprise deployments.
• Hands-on experience in debugging using log files and Odoo shell.
• Knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu environments, Git, and Docker is a plus.

Good To Have

• Experience working with Indian Accounting / GST (if relevant).
• Understanding of Payroll, Inventory, CRM, Sales, Purchase, and Manufacturing modules.
• Knowledge of agile methodology / Jira / project tracking tools.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: Up to ₹15,000.00 per month
