We are looking for an experienced Odoo Functional Consultant to join a growing UK-based Odoo delivery team.

This is a full-time, long-term remote role for someone who wants to become part of the team, work on real customer implementations, and grow with the business over time.

This is not a side project, agency opportunity, or short-term freelance contract. We are looking for an individual consultant who can work closely with a UK-based team and support Odoo implementation projects across a wide range of customers.

About the role

As an Odoo Functional Consultant, you will be involved in the full implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering through to configuration, training, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support.

You will work closely with the Managing Director, sales team, delivery team, developers, and customers to understand business processes and translate them into practical Odoo solutions.

This role is primarily focused on functional consulting and implementation delivery. Software development experience is not required, but it would be a strong bonus. Candidates with Python, XML, Git, Odoo module development, or general software development experience will be viewed positively.

Where custom development is required, you will work with developers to explain the requirement, test the solution, and make sure it meets the customer’s needs.

Key responsibilities

You will run customer discovery and pre-implementation sessions to understand business processes, pain points, requirements, and desired outcomes.

You will map customer processes into Odoo workflows and configure Odoo modules to support those processes.

You will configure and support modules such as CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Project, Timesheets, Manufacturing/MRP, Website, eCommerce, and related Odoo applications.

You will support Odoo.sh setup and implementation environments where required.

You will prepare and deliver customer demos, walkthroughs, training sessions, and user guidance.

You will support data migration, testing, UAT, go-live preparation, and post-go-live support.

You will produce clear documentation, including process notes, configuration decisions, training material, and implementation guidance.

You will work with developers where proper Odoo module development, integrations, automation, reporting, or technical changes are required.

You will help customers adopt Odoo successfully and make sure the system is practical, usable, and aligned with their business.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant or Odoo Implementation Consultant.

You should have experience working on real Odoo implementation projects and be comfortable speaking with customers, gathering requirements, configuring modules, explaining workflows, and training users.

You should understand business processes across areas such as sales, purchasing, stock, accounting, manufacturing, projects, services, or eCommerce.

You should be organised, reliable, practical, and able to manage implementation tasks remotely.

You should be comfortable working as part of a UK-based team and communicating clearly in English.

You must be looking for a full-time, long-term role as your main professional commitment.

Essential experience

Strong practical experience with Odoo implementations.

Experience configuring multiple Odoo modules.

Good understanding of CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, and Manufacturing/MRP.

Experience running or supporting requirements gathering, process mapping, configuration, testing, training, and go-live.

Good written and spoken English.

Ability to work remotely and communicate professionally with internal teams and customers.

Ability to work full-time and commit to a long-term role.

Desirable experience

Odoo 18 or Odoo 19 Functional Certification.

Experience with Odoo.sh.

Experience working for an Odoo partner or ERP implementation company.

Experience with manufacturing, distribution, inventory management, professional services, or project-based businesses.

Software development experience, especially Python, would be a strong bonus.

Technical awareness of Odoo development, including Python, XML, Git, custom Odoo modules, reports, integrations, or deployment workflows, would be beneficial.

Experience working with developers on proper Odoo module development.

Experience using AI tools to support documentation, testing, configuration, troubleshooting, implementation, or development work.

Interview process

We are looking for someone who can clearly explain Odoo workflows, understand customer requirements, and demonstrate a practical implementation approach.
