Office Administrative Assistant - Bookkeeping & Human Resources Focus

Position Overview

This position supports upper administration and requires a professional, organized, and self-motivated individual. Duties include daily bookkeeping tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, and billing preparation, along with general HR responsibilities.

Position Type: 20 – 35 hours per week, hours will increase with time/responsibilities.

We are looking for an honest, hard-working, dependable and motivated individual, who is respectful to fellow employees and customers. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant with a strong background in bookkeeping and human resources to support our growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance with employment regulations.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation as needed.
  • Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and paper) for financial and HR records.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Assist with scheduling, office communications, and general administrative support.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in administrative support with concentration in bookkeeping and/or HR.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel is a must).
  • All candidates will be subject to a drug test/background check.
  • Minimum 23 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Human Resources.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
