About Lost Angels Career Center

Lost Angels Career Center (LACC) is a California nonprofit organization serving transitional

age youth in the Antelope Valley through hands-on vocational training, employment

pathways, and wraparound support. For many of our participants, the Intake Coordinator is

the first LACC staff member they ever interact with. That first impression matters, and this

role owns it.

Position Summary

The Intake Coordinator manages the full applicant intake process from first inquiry through

interview readiness. This role is responsible for screening applicants, coordinating

information sessions and intake interviews, maintaining accurate records in the case

management system, and keeping front office operations running smoothly. The right

candidate is organized, reliable, comfortable working with diverse populations, and takes

seriously the responsibility of being the front door to LACC's programs.

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage inbound phone and email inquiries from prospective applicants, conduct initial

eligibility screenings, and perform outbound outreach to move prospective participants through

the intake pipeline in a timely and professional manner.

  • Schedule and coordinate information sessions and one-on-one intake interviews, send

confirmations and reminders, manage applicant check-in and arrival, and track attendance

including no-shows, late arrivals, and reschedules.

  • Collect, copy, scan, and upload applicant documentation, enter case notes and assessment

data into the case management system, and maintain accurate and complete applicant

records in compliance with program documentation standards.

  • Support panel interview scheduling, track applicant progress toward program goals, assist with

monthly check-in coordination, and provide general administrative support to the case

management team.

  • Manage front office operations including answering phones, greeting visitors, handling mail

and package deliveries, and supporting document intake and front desk coverage throughout

the day.

  • Track inventory and manage T-shirt sales to students, staff, and guests, including handling

payments and communicating restocking needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 or more years of administrative, intake, customer service, or front-facing office experience.
  • Comfort with scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and data entry; experience with case

management software a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks

accurately in a fast-paced environment.

  • Clear and professional communication skills and demonstrated comfort working with diverse

populations, including young people facing significant barriers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a nonprofit, social services, workforce development, or youth-serving

environment.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with grant-funded program documentation or compliance requirements.

Compensation and Benefits

LACC offers the following to eligible employees:

  • Hourly rate of $22.00-$24.00, based on experience. In accordance with California AB 1197,
