About the Role
Gentech Ltd is a leader in emergency power solutions, specializing in the maintenance and repair of Generac, Cummins, and Kohler systems. We are looking for a professional who will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive elite service while simultaneously managing the day-to-day functions of a typical office, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Primary Responsibilities
Customer Support & Dispatching
- Serve as a point of contact for residential and commercial customers.
- Use ESC (Electronic Service Control) software to schedule maintenance and dispatch technicians for emergency repairs.
- Provide professional updates to customers regarding part lead times and service schedules.
Accounts Payable
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately in QuickBooks.
- Reconcile vendor statements and prepare weekly payment runs.
- Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
Accounts Receivable & Collections
- Generate and send accurate invoices to customers upon completion of service.
- Post customer payments and maintain up-to-date aging reports.
- Perform polite, professional collection follow-ups on past-due accounts to ensure healthy cash flow.
Required Qualifications
- Software: Proven proficiency in QuickBooks and experience with field service software (ESC preferred).
- Communication: A professional, empathetic phone presence with the ability to handle emergency service calls calmly.
- Accounting Literacy: A solid understanding of the AP/AR cycle and the confidence to handle collection calls with tact and persistence.
- Local: Ability to commute to our New Windsor, NY office daily.
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
