We are a growing mechanical fabrication and equipment company serving food, pharmaceutical, and beverage manufacturers. Our work is fast-paced, detail-driven, and collaborative. We’re a small, professional team where accuracy, communication, and ownership matter.

We’re opening this position to strengthen our purchasing operations and are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things right.

Position Overview

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for managing material and supply purchasing to support our fabrication shop and project timelines. This role works closely with the shop, office, and vendors to ensure orders are accurate, on time, and cost-effective.

This position is ideal for:

  • Someone with purchasing or procurement experience
  • Someone hungry to learn and grow in manufacturing operations
  • College students pursuing careers in purchasing, accounting, accounts payable/receivable, or office management

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage purchase orders
  • Order raw materials and components
  • Track deliveries, lead times, and backorders
  • Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and timelines
  • Compare pricing and assist with cost control
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records
  • Match purchase orders with invoices
  • Coordinate with accounting and operations teams
  • Monitor inventory levels and shop needs
  • Support improvements to purchasing systems and processes

Qualifications

  • Purchasing, procurement, or office experience preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines
  • Excel proficiency required
  • QuickBooks experience preferred (training available)
  • Reliable, accountable, and proactive
