Office and Program Coordinator

## Job Overview
Centre Helps, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals in crisis or need, is seeking a detail-oriented Office/Program Coordinator to join our team. Our organization plays a critical role in the community by providing 24/7 emotional support through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and local hotlines, as well as offering case management and basic needs services.

As our Office/Program Coordinator, you’ll contribute directly to our mission by ensuring smooth office operations, assisting with financial tasks, and supporting program delivery. Key Responsibilities

  • Office Coordination: Ensure the office is well-stocked with supplies, manage food pantry items, and maintain a comfortable work environment.
  • Financial Support: Assist with processing bills, entering data into QuickBooks, and preparing invoices. Collaborate with our program team to manage incoming and outgoing client checks.
  • Donation and Grant Tracking: Track in-kind donations and grant expenditures for client assistance programs such as bus and hotel vouchers, EFSP, and VAP.
  • Program Coordination: Help register students for YOP classes, provide verification of program completion, and assist in coordinating other program-related tasks.
  • Volunteer Assistance: Offer support and supervision to volunteer staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with clerical tasks (data entry, typing)
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and QuickBooks (or a willingness to learn)
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Expected hours: 35 per week (full-time)

Location: In person in State College, PA. Local candidates or those willing to relocate are preferred.

Since 1971, Centre Helps has been a vital support system in Centre County, providing uninterrupted 24/7 hotline services. Originally focused on alcohol and drug intervention, our scope has expanded to include emotional support, crisis intervention, and basic needs assistance, along with information and referrals to community resources. We also handle suicide and crisis calls as part of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. We are committed to delivering unbiased, non-judgmental support, and empowering individuals by validating their feelings and enhancing their interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
