Office and Workplace Solutions Manager

Role Overview

Terra Nova Land Development is at an inflection point—scaling from entrepreneurial momentum into a disciplined, high-performing organization. We’re looking for a resourceful, systems-minded operator to become the operational backbone of our company.

This is not a traditional office manager role. It’s a high-trust, hands-on position for someone who thrives at the center of the business—bringing clarity, structure, and momentum across operations, HR, accounting, and internal workflows. You’ll partner directly with leadership to turn vision into structure, designing tools, workflows, and processes that support sustainable growth.

Your work will help guide our transition from early-stage hustle to disciplined operational excellence across all functions of the business—all while preserving the agility and entrepreneurial spirit that drive our mission.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You…

Thrive in small, fast-growing companies and enjoy wearing multiple hats

  • Naturally create order from complexity and ambiguity
  • Have experience in operations, administration, HR, accounting, or a generalist role
  • Enjoy building processes, tools, and systems from the ground up
  • Want your work to matter—not just staying busy day-to-day

What Success Looks Like

  • First 90 Days: Core workflows are clearer, documented, and running smoother. You’ve earned the trust of the team and have a handle on how the business operates.
  • Within a Year: Leadership relies on you as a core member of the team who keeps day-to-day operations running efficiently. The systems you’ve helped build are saving time and reducing friction across the company.
  • Over Time: You help shape how the company scales—without losing its entrepreneurial edge. Your fingerprints are on the infrastructure that powers our growth.

What You Bring

You’re a builder who has already proven you can create structure where none exists. Specifically, you bring:

  • A track record in operations, administration, HR, finance, or a generalist role within a startup, small business, or fast-moving team
  • Hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience—ideally within construction, real estate development, or an adjacent industry
  • Strong organizational instincts and the ability to bring clarity and follow-through to complex, multi-step tasks
  • Comfort with technology and a bias toward scalable, intuitive tools that make work easier for everyone
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and keep information flowing
  • A resourceful, proactive mindset—steady and solutions-oriented in the face of ambiguity
  • Willingness to become (or you already are) a Commissioned Notary Public in New Hampshire

Where You’ll Make an Impact

This role spans the full operating rhythm of the business. Your core areas of ownership include:

  • Process Design & Implementation: Creating repeatable workflows, templates, and SOPs across office administration, HR, accounting, and finance. Turning ad hoc tasks into documented, scalable processes.
  • Office & Workplace Operations: Managing day-to-day office organization, supplies, vendor relationships, and facilities—ensuring a professional, structured environment for on-site and remote teams.
  • Accounting & Financial Systems: Initially performing and overseeing bookkeeping, cost tracking, and financial reporting. Maintaining and improving accounting processes as the company grows. The bookkeeping and financial reporting functions will ultimately become a standalone role and group within the business.
  • Tools & Platforms: Evaluating, recommending, and implementing software and systems that support efficiency and scale.
  • HR & People Operations: Administering HR policies, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, payroll, and benefits. Serving as a trusted resource for employee questions and workplace culture.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Acting as the connective tissue between teams, anticipating needs, resolving gaps, aligning priorities, and keeping communication flowing.

What Motivates You

You’re energized by being at the center of a growing organization—the person who makes things work better, faster, and smarter.

  • Impact: You want your work to support something real—a company that plays a direct role in addressing the national housing shortage and enabling communities to grow.
  • Building: You take pride in creating structure, improving systems, and shaping the operational foundation of a company from the ground up.
  • Challenge: You see operational gaps as opportunities. You’re proactive, steady, and motivated by solving problems that make the entire team more effective.
  • Growth: You’re drawn to environments where you can stretch your skills, learn new disciplines, and take on responsibilities that evolve alongside the company.
