Office Assistant

Full Time, In Person Engineering Support

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented full-time in person Office Assistant to support our engineering team. This is an excellent entry level opportunity for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional work environment, including both office operations and limited field activity. The ideal candidate is analytically minded, a strong communicator, and eager to grow within a collaborative team setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the engineering team
  • Assist with the preparation, organization, and submittal of project documents
  • Utilize MS Office Suite to create, edit, and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Email support of CEO
  • Support CAD-related tasks as needed under the direction of project engineers
  • Communicate professionally with team members, clients, and vendors
  • Participate in fieldwork and site visits as required
  • Maintain organized records and filing systems
  • Assist with additional tasks and special projects as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Analytically minded with the ability to problem solve quickly and effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with solid interpersonal abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Solid computer proficiency including the full MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • CAD capability required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior work experience preferred but not required. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow
  • Knowledge of or exposure to the construction industry is a plus
  • Willingness to work outside of the office environment including submittal runs and fieldwork as needed
  • Full-time in-person position
  • Own dependable transportation

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the ability to perform the following physical activities on a regular basis:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Navigating stairs at office and field locations
  • Light lifting (up to approximately 25 lbs)
  • Manual dexterity for computer operation and document handling
  • Extended computer use

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a full-time position operating in a professional office environment. Limited fieldwork and site visits may be required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
