Duration: April 20 – August 3 (training begins 4/20, full coverage starting 4/27)

Position Overview
Brown Contracting is seeking a temporary Office Assistant to support daily operations during a maternity leave. This role will train with the current admin before taking over responsibilities. The position offers a flexible schedule and exposure to a wide range of administrative functions within a small, fast-paced construction office.
What You’ll Do

Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee tracking
- Maintain weekly project tracking logs and update internal spreadsheets
- Reconcile monthly statements (Amazon/AMEX) using Excel
- Help maintain compliance records

Organize files, scan documents, and manage shared folders
- Monitor and restock office and bunkhouse supplies
General administrative support for project managers and office staff
Qualifications

Prior experience in an office admin or similar role
- Basic computer proficiency required
- Excel experience preferred (sorting, organizing data, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Friendly, professional, and able to work with a team
- Comfortable handling a variety of tasks and shifting priorities
Construction industry experience is a plus, not required
Work Environment

On-site role near Wilsonville, OR
- Small office supporting construction projects across the state
Flexible scheduling within business hours
Physical / Practical Requirements

Ability to lift and move office supplies as needed
- Occasional walking to check inventory (office and bunkhouse)
Comfortable maintaining shared spaces (light cleaning/organization)
