Pay: $22–$24/hour DOE

Schedule: 20–40 hours/week (flexible)

Duration: April 20 – August 3 (training begins 4/20, full coverage starting 4/27)

Status: Temporary, with potential for long-term opportunity


Position Overview

Brown Contracting is seeking a temporary Office Assistant to support daily operations during a maternity leave. This role will train with the current admin before taking over responsibilities. The position offers a flexible schedule and exposure to a wide range of administrative functions within a small, fast-paced construction office.


What You’ll Do

  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee tracking
  • Maintain weekly project tracking logs and update internal spreadsheets
  • Reconcile monthly statements (Amazon/AMEX) using Excel
  • Help maintain compliance records
  • Organize files, scan documents, and manage shared folders
  • Monitor and restock office and bunkhouse supplies
  • General administrative support for project managers and office staff



Qualifications

  • Prior experience in an office admin or similar role
  • Basic computer proficiency required
  • Excel experience preferred (sorting, organizing data, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Friendly, professional, and able to work with a team
  • Comfortable handling a variety of tasks and shifting priorities
  • Construction industry experience is a plus, not required



Work Environment

  • On-site role near Wilsonville, OR
  • Small office supporting construction projects across the state
  • Flexible scheduling within business hours



Physical / Practical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move office supplies as needed
  • Occasional walking to check inventory (office and bunkhouse)
  • Comfortable maintaining shared spaces (light cleaning/organization)



Additional Information

  • Background check required
  • Training provided during the first week
  • This is a temporary role, but strong performers may be considered for a long-term position
