Office Assistant/Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our office environment. This vital role involves managing front desk responsibilities, providing exceptional customer support, and assisting with administrative tasks that keep our office running efficiently. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and team members alike. The ideal candidate is a multitasking expert who can balance friendly front-desk hospitality with the technical precision required for HR and compliance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your office management skills while contributing to a professional and friendly workplace. Bilingual (somali-english).

Duties

  • Assist in the end-to-end hiring process, including posting job openings and screening applicants.
  • Coordinate interviews and manage the onboarding of new hires.
  • Ensure all employee files are complete and up to date with necessary state-required documentation.
  • Act as the face of Sunshine Care, greeting clients, visitors, and staff with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
  • Manage a multi-line phone system, directing calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Address client inquiries and provide general information about our services.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding company policies, schedules, and general questions.
  • Help resolve staff concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding sensitive employee and client information.
  • Support the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) department to ensure accurate data entry and time-tracking compliance.
  • Assist in monitoring logs and following up with caregivers to ensure documentation meets state standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in human resources, office administration, or a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Bilingual (somali-english).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EVV software or healthcare billing systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting the elderly and individuals with disabilities.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
