Job Vacancy: Office Driver + Labor Supervisor

We are a dynamic and growing company based in the United Arab Emirates, currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Office Driver + Labor Supervisor. This is a unique role that combines driving responsibilities with critical labor management and recruitment functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving (Approx. 20% of time):
  • Safely and efficiently transport company staff, clients, and materials to various locations within the UAE.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the assigned vehicle(s).
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations of the UAE.
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
  • Labor Supervision (Approx. 30% of time):
  • Oversee and manage daily activities of laborers on-site or at project locations.
  • Ensure laborers understand their tasks, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment; effectively communicate with laborers to address concerns and resolve issues.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and performance of laborers.
  • Assist in coordinating labor logistics and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Labor Recruitment & Sourcing (Approx. 50% of time):
  • Actively source, screen, and recruit suitable laborers for various projects and roles within the company.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through various channels (e.g., referrals, local communities, online platforms).
  • Conduct initial interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' suitability for available positions.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation and orientation.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and candidate databases.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven driving experience in the UAE. A valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience working with and understanding the UAE labor class/community is essential.
  • Previous experience in labor supervision or management is highly preferred.
  • Experience in labor recruitment or sourcing will be a significant advantage.
  • Language Skills:
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) is a must.
  • Fluent in Urdu (written and spoken) is a must.
  • Proficiency in Arabic (written and/or spoken) is a strong plus.
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds, particularly laborers.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Office suite) is preferred.
  • Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • A proactive and can-do attitude.
