Overview
High-End ENT Practice | Long Island, NY
We are a growing, physician-led ENT practice on Long Island seeking an exceptional Office Manager to oversee daily operations and serve as a hands-on leader for our clinical and administrative teams.
This is not a passive or remote role. We are looking for a visible, accessible, and solutions-oriented manager who thrives on ownership, accountability, and helping teams perform at a high level.
What This Role Is:
- The operational backbone of a busy, premium medical practice
- A problem-solver, not a delegator of problems
- A leader who is present on the floor, approachable, and trusted by staff
- A partner to the physician owner in executing growth, efficiency, and culture
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across front desk, clinical support, and back office
- Serve as the first point of escalation for staff issues and operational bottlenecks
- Actively support staff with scheduling challenges, patient flow issues, and system breakdowns
- Ensure smooth coordination between providers, clinical staff, billing, and administration
- Monitor workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement practical solutions
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Maintain accountability while fostering a respectful, team-oriented culture
- Help implement new systems, service lines, and process improvements as the practice grows
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience managing a medical office or physician practice (ENT experience a plus, not required)
- Strong leadership presence—staff feel comfortable coming to you
- Calm, structured, and decisive under pressure
- Highly organized with excellent follow-through
- Comfortable being hands-on and visible (this is not a desk-only role)
- Clear communicator who can balance empathy with accountability
- Someone who takes ownership rather than deflecting responsibility
What This Role Is Not
- Not a purely administrative or “behind-the-scenes” position
- Not a remote or minimally engaged management role
- Not suitable for someone who avoids conflict or decision-making
Compensation & Growth
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience
- Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding, well-respected practice
- Direct access to ownership and meaningful influence over how the practice operates
