Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Office Manager for a full-time, long-term opportunity in Durham, NC. The position is an evaluation hire (contract-to-hire) opportunity for a small business seeking the right person for this key role on their team.


As an Office Manager, you will work with people and assist customers with information, help to schedule the flow of business for the office, and support the accounting/operational initiatives for the company. The role is a mix of customer support, administrative functions and accounting (QuickBooks).


This is a full-time position with an expected annual salary of $60-70K.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership with strategic thinking and exemplify excellent customer service
  • Communicate with management staff to stay updated on trends, documentation, budgeting, and any customer/vendor issues
  • Coordinate and maintain company calendar and company communication, keeping web site updated
  • Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping: accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and cash management / reconciliation
  • Verify and analyze financial reports - including sales and lease trending
  • Event planning


Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ year(s) of office management, accounting, and/or customer service management experience
  • Solid organization and planning capabilities, strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated history of ability and growth in managing an office environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including courteous and professional demeanor
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented with ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and QuickBooks (Online)
  • Experience in real estate or commercial property management is a plus
