Office Manager for a local Tax/Accounting Firm

We are Hunter Praytor P.A., a progressive and established tax & accounting firm in downtown Asheville, and we are seeking an Office Manager to join our firm! This role oversees a variety of daily administrative tasks and keeps our office running smoothly every day.

In this role, you'll be:

  • The friendly face (and voice) that greets clients and colleagues -- you'll give the first impression for our firm to anyone that wants to work with us.
  • A supportive teammate – you’ll be assisting our CPAs and accountants with various tasks throughout the year and assisting our clients through it all to meet critical deadlines.
  • Our creative and online liaison – you’ll oversee our social media presence, maintain and update our website, and keep up our online visibility.
  • The arbiter of all administrative things including:
  • Greeting and assisting clients in the office and answering phones
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail and e-mail correspondence
  • Maintaining accurate filing systems, managing calendar schedules, and ensuring timely document retrieval
  • Overseeing new employee/client onboarding and maintaining personnel records
  • Handling accounts payable and assisting with accounts receivable for the firm
  • Software research and implementation and some occasional IT troubleshooting
  • Word processing, scanning, and filing documents
  • Maintenance of office supply inventory and organization of the office space

You'll be a great fit if you:

  • Have excellent verbal communication & written skills to connect with clients and colleagues.
  • Have experience using Microsoft Office programs, Adobe products, and an aptitude for technical troubleshooting.
  • Have strong time management and organizational discipline.
  • Have a keen eye for the little details.
  • Have a professional, friendly, and patient demeanor (because tax season can get intense!).

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
