Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized Office Manager / Paralegal to join our office of two (2) lawyers. This role combines essential office management duties with legal support responsibilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills, and bring a proactive approach to managing our office. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations, including accounting/bookkeeping, communicating with court staff, and calendar scheduling for attorneys;
- Coordinate/plan for meetings, depositions, and court appearances to ensure seamless execution from logistics to follow-up;
- Manage vendor relationships for office supplies, legal services, and other external providers, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions;
- Handle bookkeeping and payroll tasks using QuickBooks software to maintain accurate financial records;
- Assist with legal research, document preparation, filing systems, and maintaining case files in compliance with confidentiality standards; and
- Manage human resources functions such as onboarding new employees, managing employee records, and facilitating internal communications.
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a professional or legal environment;
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and payroll management;
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and deadlines efficiently;
- Experience in vendor management, budgeting, and basic bookkeeping practices;
- Knowledge of paralegal tasks is a plus, but not required;
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation;
- Ability to handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records with attention to detail; and
- A genuine interest in working with attorneys to learn the law and applying it to assist our clients in obtaining optimal results.
Education/Training
Bachelors degree from an accredited school is required.
Paralegal certificate is a plus, but not required.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
