Office Staff / Personal Assistant to Medical Provider

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional individual to serve as office staff and personal assistant to a medical provider. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has prior experience working in a busy medical office, preferably in mental health. You must either be local to Cary, NC or willing to drive to Cary, NC to work. This will be a part time position but hours may vary depending on the week and the number of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls and emails
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
  • Communicate with patients regarding appointments, questions, and follow-ups
  • Relay messages and important information to the provider
  • Assist with medical billing (training provided if needed)
  • Create flyers and basic office materials
  • Maintain organized records and administrative systems
  • Support daily office operations and assist the provider as needed

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a busy medical office required (mental health experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of work efficiently
  • Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable learning new systems and processes

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with mental health billing and insurance processes

Additional Requirements:

  • Must provide at least 3 professional references
  • Ability to work independently as an independent contractor

Compensation & Structure:

  • $12 per hour
  • Independent contractor position (no benefits provided)

Pay: $12.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
