We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional individual to serve as office staff and personal assistant to a medical provider. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has prior experience working in a busy medical office, preferably in mental health. You must either be local to Cary, NC or willing to drive to Cary, NC to work. This will be a part time position but hours may vary depending on the week and the number of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls and emails
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, questions, and follow-ups
- Relay messages and important information to the provider
- Assist with medical billing (training provided if needed)
- Create flyers and basic office materials
- Maintain organized records and administrative systems
- Support daily office operations and assist the provider as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a busy medical office required (mental health experience preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of work efficiently
- Professional, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with mental health billing and insurance processes
Additional Requirements:
- Must provide at least 3 professional references
- Ability to work independently as an independent contractor
Compensation & Structure:
- $12 per hour
- Independent contractor position (no benefits provided)
Pay: $12.00 per hour
