Ledbetter Electric is a licensed California electrical contractor serving commercial and industrial clients in and around Marysville and across the State. We run a union workforce and have been building our reputation in this market for years. We are at an inflection point — the kind that does not come around often. We have the work. We have the people. Now we need the right person keeping our books current and accurate so that ownership always knows exactly where the business stands.

This is not a clerical position. This is the person ownership relies on to keep the financial picture complete, clean, and actionable. QuickBooks is the backbone of how we track every dollar in and out of this business — you will own that file. What You Will Do

Your primary responsibility is maintaining and updating the company QuickBooks Desktop file. Everything else supports that mission:

  • Maintain and update the QuickBooks Desktop file — this is the core of the role
  • Enter bills, schedule payments, and manage accounts payable end to end
  • Invoice customers, follow up on receivables, and run aging reports
  • Create work orders and track current and completed jobs
  • Assist with payroll processing for a union workforce
  • Generate customer quotes and assist with billing
  • Manage job schedules, project paperwork, and email communication
  • Answer phones and support smooth day-to-day office operations
  • Assist with filing, office organization, and general administrative support

What We Are Looking For

  • Hands-on QuickBooks experience — Desktop strongly preferred
  • 3 or more years of bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration experience
  • Background in construction, electrical, or a field-service company is a strong plus
  • Union payroll experience
  • Certified payroll experience
  • High attention to detail and dependable follow-through
  • Clear communicator who keeps things organized and tells ownership what they need to know
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred (or actively pursuing) — but equivalent experience matters most

Position Details

Job Title: Accounting Manager

Company: Ledbetter Electric, Inc.

Location: 1004 Yuba St., Marysville, CA 95901 (on-site — not remote. Make sure you are will to commute if applying for the job! )

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, 7am-3:30pm

Employment Type: Full-Time, Regular

Compensation: $32–$42 per hour, depending on experience (California pay transparency disclosure)

Benefits: Company paid holidays, paid sick leave, 401k Plan after first year of employment and possible health care/dental insurance.

Reports To: Ownership

Pay: $66,560.00 - $87,360.00 per year
