Officer Architectural Designer

Job Purpose

To support architectural planning, design development, and execution of building and infrastructure projects by preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and design concepts. The role ensures that architectural designs meet functional requirements, aesthetic standards, regulatory guidelines, and organisational objectives. The Officer – Architectural Designer collaborates closely with engineering, project management, and vendor teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. This position is based in Lahore.

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Design Support: Prepare architectural drawings, layouts, 3D views, and design concepts for offices, facilities, and project sites.
• Design Documentation: Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and BOQs in coordination with engineering and project teams.
• Technical Evaluation & Procurement Support: Prepare technical comparisons, support bidding processes, and assist in evaluation of vendor proposals for Purchase Orders (POs).
• Coordination with Stakeholders: Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is accurately implemented.
• Site Support & Reviews: Support site visits, review execution progress, and ensure adherence to approved architectural designs.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Design Revisions: Incorporate feedback and manage revisions based on functional, technical, or budgetary requirements.
• Material & Finish Selection: Assist in selection of materials, finishes, and fixtures aligned with design and cost objectives.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain proper design records, drawings, and progress updates for management review.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is preferred

Experience

• 2 years of relevant experience in architectural design or related roles

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in architectural design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools)
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings and construction detailing
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and problem-solving capability

With demonstrated design capability, technical expertise, and effective coordination, the individual may progress into roles such as Senior Officer – Architectural Design, Assistant Manager Design, and Manager Architectural & Planning.
