Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Offshore Project Manager to lead and manage complex marine/offshore projects. The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for the client and the project team, responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of all project phases, from tendering and mobilization through to construction, commissioning, and final handover to the client's operations team.
Requirements:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Marine, Mechanical) is a must. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP or APM) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15-20+ years of experience in project management within the oil & gas, marine, or offshore Pipeline and CBM etc renewables industry.
- Proven experience in managing EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) or brownfield/greenfield offshore projects is essential.
- Skills:
- Superior knowledge of offshore operations, personnel, and equipment.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Plan, direct, coordinate, and control all project activities, ensuring alignment with the project execution plan, schedule, and budget.
- Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ): Champion a strong safety culture, enforce strict adherence to HSEQ policies and procedures, and ensure all site operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Client and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main interface with clients, authorities, subcontractors, and other third parties. Preside over meetings and ensure effective communication of project status and objectives to all stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks related to weather, equipment failure, subsea conditions, and other operational challenges.
- Team Leadership: Lead, guide, instruct, and motivate a diverse, multi-disciplinary project team, including engineers, marine crews, and construction specialists.
- Financial Control and Reporting: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, provide cost reports, handle contract variations, and ensure project profitability.
- Documentation and Handover: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensure all facilities are fully functioning, and manage the smooth transition and final handover to operations.
- Work Environment: Willingness to work offshore and travel as required, often on a rotational basis. Relevant offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET, H2S Awareness) may be required.
