OHC Staff Nurse

Staff Nurse provides direct care, manages workplace injuries, conducts health screenings, ensures safety compliance, and delivers health education to employees, focusing on preventing work-related illnesses and promoting overall worker well-being within a specific industry or site. Key duties include first aid, managing health records, administering immunizations, assisting with pre-employment checkups, and educating staff on safety protocols, often coordinating with safety officers and physicians. Key Responsibilities

• Emergency & First Aid: Provide immediate care for work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Health Monitoring: Conduct health checks (vitals, vision, hearing) and medical surveillance.
• Prevention: Identify hazards, implement safety protocols, and run health promotion programs.
• Education: Train employees on first aid, hazard risks, and healthy work practices.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential medical and compliance records.
• Case Management: Manage worker's compensation cases and coordinate referrals.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage emergency situations.
