Ohio Virtual Intervention Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Virtual Intervention Specialist to support students' educational and developmental needs through remote engagement. Duties

• Develop and adapt curriculum materials suitable for online delivery, ensuring alignment with educational standards and individual student needs.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize lessons, track progress, and facilitate virtual instruction.
• Plan engaging lessons in literacy, math, physical education, and other core subjects, incorporating instructional design principles.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction to support students’ academic growth across various subjects including early childhood education, preschool, toddler care, and special education.
• Manage classroom dynamics virtually by applying classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and specialists to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions.
• Use effective communication skills to engage students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
• Monitor student progress through assessments and feedback tools within the LMS platform; adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
• Support literacy education, writing skills development, and social-emotional learning initiatives remotely.
• Maintain detailed documentation of student interactions, progress reports, and lesson plans while ensuring confidentiality.

Experience

• Prior experience in classroom teaching or tutoring across early childhood education, special education, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, instructional design, and learning technology integration.
• Experience working with children of various age groups including preschoolers, toddlers, or students with disabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms and online teaching tools is essential for effective virtual instruction.
• Background in classroom management, conflict resolution, behavior management strategies, and educational programming such as Montessori or private school settings is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills paired with the ability to work collaboratively with families and educational teams are critical for success in this role.

EMPLOYMENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor Degree and licensure in Special Education (Intervention Specialist)

-Valid Ohio teaching certificate or license.

-Meet Federal Highly Qualified Teacher standards as determined by ESA.

-Appropriate criminal record as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
