Job Title Health & Safety Engineer

Location Chennai (Full-time on-site)

Role Overview

Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of safety protocols and

environmental management at the station sites. This role ensures that all MEP

installation activities, such as working at heights or handling electrical

equipment, are conducted under strict safety supervision

Core Responsibility

Site Safety Supervision: Conducts daily safety inspections and ensures the use

of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all MEP work fronts .

Risk Mitigation: Implements Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA)

specifically for HVAC, firefighting, and electrical works .

Emergency Response: Assists in maintaining 24/7 site control room

communication and emergency readiness .

Incident Reporting: Records and reports all near-misses or safety violations to

the Chief OHS&E Manager via the PMIS.

Safety Training: Conducts toolbox talks and safety inductions for site

technicians and subcontractors.

Qualifications Needed

1. Educational Background

B.E. (Engineering) with a Diploma in NEBOSH is mandatory.

2. Professional Experience

Total Career Span: Minimum 6 years of total professional work experience .

Similar Experience: Minimum 3 years specifically in OHS roles for large-scale

E&M or infrastructure projects .

Sector Expertise: Experience in Metro Rail or high-risk construction

environments.

3. Key Competencies

Technical Safety: Knowledge of electrical safety, fire prevention, and

mechanical handling protocols .

Communication: Ability to communicate safety instructions clearly to a

multidisciplinary team .

Compliance: Strict adherence to ISO standards and Employer’s OHS&E

programs.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
