As we continue to expand our operations in Qatar’s energy sector environment, we are seeking a highly skilled Oil & Gas Accountant to support our financial performance and ensure accuracy in complex, high-value operations.

Position Overview

The Oil & Gas Accountant will be responsible for managing financial reporting, cost tracking, and accounting processes related to oil and gas operations. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, compliance-driven industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities related to oil & gas projects and operations
• Track and analyze operational costs, capital expenditures (CAPEX), and project budgets
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Monitor revenue streams, joint ventures, and contract-based billing
• Ensure accurate cost allocation across drilling, production, and logistics activities
• Maintain compliance with Qatar financial regulations and international accounting standards
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for energy operations
• Assist in internal and external audits with detailed documentation
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams for financial accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in oil & gas or heavy industry
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and project accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with oil & gas financial structures (CAPEX/OPEX, contracts, JV accounting)
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, detail-sensitive environment
• Knowledge of IFRS and Qatar financial regulations is an advantage
